Data Deletion
How to request deletion of your GrowVenom and connected-platform data.
This page explains exactly what GrowVenom holds about you, how to have it deleted, and what to expect once you ask. There are two different requests people mean by “delete my data”, and they have different outcomes. The distinction is set out below.
What GrowVenom holds
| Category | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Account identity | Your name, email address, and the authentication record that lets you sign in. |
| Workspace records | Your workspace, its members and their roles, and the brand profile, products and personas configured inside it. |
| Uploaded brand material | Documents, images, logos and fonts you upload. |
| Connected account credentials | Access tokens for the social accounts you connected, used to publish on your instruction and to read back analytics. |
| Post analytics | Account metrics, posts and post metrics we retrieved from connected platforms, and the webhook events they sent us. |
| Persona material | Photos and voice recordings of real people uploaded to create AI personas, and voice models created from them. The consent attestation and signed release for each are kept as consent evidence (see below) and deleted only on request. |
| Generated media | Images, video and copy produced for your brand, and the job records describing how they were generated. |
| Billing records | Card details are held by Stripe, our payment processor; GrowVenom never stores them. We keep purchase, invoice and credit records for 7 to 8 years for tax and accounting purposes, even after deletion. |
Two different requests
Be explicit about which one you want, because the first is reversible and the second is not.
1. Disconnect a platform
This deletes the stored access tokens for one social account and stops all further access to it. Analytics already retrieved for that account are kept for 30 days, so reconnecting within that time loses nothing, and are then deleted automatically. Email us if you want them erased sooner. Your GrowVenom account, workspace and brand material stay intact, and you can reconnect the platform later.
A workspace owner or admin can do this at any time from Brand Manager → Channels inside your workspace. Disconnecting cancels any scheduled posts still pending for that account.
2. Delete your workspace and account
Deleting a workspace removes the workspace and everything listed in the table above, except the billing and credit records we are required to keep and the consent records and signed releases described under “How long it takes”. Deleting only your account removes you and your sign-in; the workspace and its content stay with the workspace and its remaining members until the workspace itself is deleted. Content already published to a social platform is not recalled by either; that content lives on the platform and must be removed there. A workspace owner can download a copy of the workspace data first from the workspace settings.
- Delete the workspace: a workspace owner can do this in the workspace settings. The workspace closes immediately and can be restored for 7 days. After that its records, uploaded files, generated images and videos, and connection tokens are permanently erased and cannot be recovered.
- Delete your account: in your account settings. This does not delete a workspace you belong to. If you are the only owner of a workspace, transfer ownership or delete the workspace first.
- Or email us: write to hello@growvenom.ai from the address on the account, say what you want deleted, and name the workspace. We will confirm the request before acting on it, because the action is irreversible. Email is also the way to ask us to delete persona voice models held by our voice provider.
Removing GrowVenom from Facebook or Instagram
If you remove the GrowVenom app from your Facebook or Instagram settings, you do not need to contact us separately. Meta sends us an automated deletion request for that platform identity, and we handle it without any further action from you:
- You remove GrowVenom under Settings → Apps and Websites in your Facebook or Instagram account.
- Meta sends GrowVenom an automated data-deletion request identifying your platform account.
- We delete the data associated with that platform identity. The stored access token, the connection record, and the analytics we retrieved for it.
- You receive a confirmation code and a status URL where you can check the progress of that request.
Note that this deletes the platform connection, not your whole GrowVenom account. If you want the account gone as well, make the request described above.
How long it takes
We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days of receiving and verifying them, consistent with the response period set by the GDPR. Most requests complete well inside that window. We will tell you when the deletion is done.
Some records are kept beyond that point where we are required to keep them. Billing and transaction records held by Stripe are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and are not removed by a deletion request. GrowVenom keeps its own purchase, invoice and credit records for 7 to 8 years, linked to an anonymized workspace identifier. We also keep the records showing which legal documents were accepted and which likeness or voice consents were given: the document or wording version, the time, the IP address and a one-way hash of the email address. They are no longer linked to a deleted account, and we keep them only to show that consent was given. For the same reason we keep the signed likeness or voice release a customer uploaded for a persona, even after the persona or workspace is deleted. We delete a signed release only on an explicit request from the person it belongs to or a legal request: email hello@growvenom.ai. Backups age out on their own retention cycle, so a deleted record may persist in a backup for a short period after it is removed from the live system; it is not restored to the live system after deletion. Deleted media files likewise stay recoverable in our media storage for 7 days before they are permanently removed.
Verifying your request
We will only act on a deletion request we can tie to the account it concerns. Send it from the email address registered on the account. If you cannot, we may ask for something else that establishes ownership before we proceed, deleting an account on an unverified request would itself be a security failure.
