Billing
Plans, upgrading, cancelling, failed payments and invoices.
Who can manage billing
Workspace owners and admins can upgrade, buy credits and open the billing portal. Everyone else can see the balance and usage but not change anything. If your workspace requires a second-factor verification for sensitive actions, you may be asked to verify it first.
Card details are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. GrowVenom never sees or stores your card number.

Upgrading and buying credits
- Open Settings, Billing.
- Press Upgrade to the next plan, or one of the Buy 1,000 / 5,000 / 20,000 credits buttons for a one-time top-up.
- Stripe's hosted checkout opens. Enter your card, billing address and, if you have them, a business name and tax ID. Tax is calculated where it applies.
- You are sent back to the Billing page. Credits show up as soon as Stripe confirms the payment. If you do not see them straight away, refresh the page.
The Upgrade button starts a monthly plan. If you already have a subscription, change plans, or switch between monthly and yearly, in the billing portal (see below). Moving between plans mid-cycle does not grant extra credits.
The billing portal
Press Manage billingon the Billing page to open Stripe's Customer Portal. It appears once your workspace has a billing account. In the portal you can:
- Update your card.
- Update your billing email, address, business name and tax ID.
- See your invoice history and download invoices.
- Switch plan or cancel.
Cancelling
Cancel from the billing portal. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so everything keeps working until then, including your plan credits.
When the period ends the subscription is over. Your data stays, and you can still open and read everything, but new generation is paused until you subscribe again. Plan credits expire at the end of the period. Purchased top-up credits keep their own 12-month expiry.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment is declined:
- Billing shows a message such as “Your last payment failed. New generation is paused until billing is updated.” Anywhere you try to generate, you will see Billing issue: update your payment method to keep generating.
- Jobs already running finish normally. The rest of the app stays readable.
- Stripe retries the payment on its own schedule and emails you. You can also open Manage billing and update the card right away.
- When a payment goes through, generation resumes and that period's credits are added.
If the payment still cannot be collected, the subscription ends and the workspace behaves as described under cancelling. Owners and admins see the same message on the Billing page. A billing hold can also be placed on a workspace after a payment dispute with a card issuer. In that case, email hello@growvenom.ai.
Invoices and receipts
- Subscription invoices and one-time top-up invoices are available in the billing portal.
- Stripe emails a receipt for each payment.
- To get your business name or tax ID on invoices, add them at checkout or in the portal. Changes apply to future invoices.
