Create videos
One-take and persona videos, the approval steps, and releases for real people.
Two ways to make a video
Open Video Studio. Both formats make short vertical (9:16) videos with an AI creator on camera, and both stop for your approval before the expensive part runs.
| Format | Best for | How it is made |
|---|---|---|
| One Take | A single continuous take, 10 to 30 seconds. | One render from one creator and one product. |
| UGC Video (persona video) | A talking ad built from several shots, with captions. | A written shot plan, a start frame for each shot, then animated clips, voice and captions assembled into one cut. |
One Take
The create wizard has three steps.
- Brief and product. Either describe what the video should be about, or paste a script you want spoken word for word. Pick a product, or keep it brand-level.
- Creator and voice. Choose the creator from your persona library. A creator with a voice attached speaks in that voice. The form tells you when a creator has no voice.
- Options. Set the length with the slider (10 to 30 seconds), the setting and styling, an optional on-screen hook headline and a caption style. By default the take starts from a generated first frame, which you approve before rendering.
A one-take is billed by the second, so the length you choose is the length you pay for. The wizard shows an estimate before you start.
The approval steps
- Brief approval. You see the exact words that will be spoken, the beat-by-beat direction and the images the take is built from. You can approve it, edit the words or the reference images, ask for a rewrite with a note, or reject it. Edits and rewrite requests do not render. They produce a new brief to look at. Rejecting ends the job with nothing rendered and nothing billed.
- First frame approval (when you left the first-frame option on). You see the opening still. Approve it to start the render, or regenerate it with a note.
- Final approval. You watch the finished take. The Approve button unlocks once you have played it to nearly the end. You can approve, reject, or ask for changes. Asking for changes renders the whole take again at full cost, because a one-take is a single render with nothing smaller to redo. If only the voice is wrong and the take is eligible, Fix voice keeps the video and replaces the voice.
If the video model refuses a render, the job page says so. This sometimes happens with lifelike AI creators. We retry once automatically. If it fails again, retry or choose a different creator. Refused renders are normally not billed.
UGC videos with a persona
A persona is a reusable on-camera creator. You manage them in the Persona library. There are two ways to add one:
- Generate. Describe a creator and GrowVenom generates the face. This is a made-up person, so no release is needed.
- From photo. Build a persona from photos of a real person. This needs consent and a signed release. See signed releases below.
The UGC create wizard follows the same three steps as One Take: brief, creator and voice, then options such as length, caption style and hook headline. The job then stops for your approval at these points. The exact stops can vary a little with the video model.
- Plan. You review the written shot plan: the scene, wardrobe, camera direction, spoken line and on-screen caption for each shot, all editable. Rejecting here ends the job before any image is made.
- Frames and script. You see each shot's start frame beside its spoken line. You can edit the lines. Approving moves on to animating the shots and adding voice.
- Final cut. You watch the assembled video. As with One Take, Approve unlocks after you have watched most of it. You can approve, reject, or request changes on specific shots, and only those shots are rendered again.
The job page keeps every stage visible after the video finishes, so you can look back at the plan, frames and clips later. Jobs that end in failure or rejection keep what was made.
Signed releases for real people
If a persona is based on a real individual, GrowVenom needs two things before it will create it:
- Your confirmation that you have the rights and consent to use this person. The wording is shown on screen and your confirmation is recorded with the date. Cloning a voice has its own confirmation of the same kind.
- A signed likeness and voice release. Have the person sign a release, then upload the signed copy (PDF or photo, up to 10 MB) in the persona form.
Only use photos and voices of people who have agreed. A real person's likeness stays in your workspace and is never shared with other organizations. Signed releases and consent records are kept as evidence that consent was given, so they are deleted on request rather than by the persona delete button. See Privacy and data.
Credits and roles
Videos are the most expensive thing you can make. Credits are held when a paid render starts and returned in full if the render is not billed. Costs are on Pricing, and the details are in How credits work. Viewers cannot create videos. Everyone else on the team can.
